• How did you come up with the title?

The Warrior Within Me, The Real Secret just fell together towards the end of writing the book.  One could say that the title was inspired by God.  It points to The Warrior Within me, and you, and that is Jesus.  The Real Secret is what every self-help book leaves out of their teachings.  The sacred instructions of scripture have laid out the guidelines for success and rules of engagement on life’s battlefield for thousands of years.  Modern-day, self-help books discuss a deceptive secret and leave out the most important part, Jesus and Biblical truth.

 

• How long did it take you to write the book?

The book took me about five weeks to write.  However, I’d unknowingly been preparing to write this book since I was a child.  I realized that everything from my childhood to my life battles has been part of God’s plan for me to write and deliver this message to you.

 

• Tell us a little about how this story first came to be. Did it start with an image, a voice, a concept, a dilemma or something else?

I fell to my knees many years ago and asked God to help me out of trouble that I was in, and I promised that if He did, I would write a book about His goodness.  I was delivered after years of fighting through difficult situations.  Many years after that promise I made to God, I woke up in the middle of the night, out of my sleep, knowing I had to write my testimony.

 

• What special knowledge or research was required to write this book?

My knowledge mainly comes from the Holy Bible, experience, and some scientific research to prove what I already knew.  Many years of walking in faith, and revelation from God confirmed with Biblical truth, contributes to my knowledge.  I have studied many biblical scholars, pastors, and theologians over the years who have helped me understand many biblical truths.

 

• What research methods have been most fruitful for you?

A lot of my research came after I began to notice patterns of behavioral changes in my life.  After gathering biblical information that aligned to what I was experiencing, I became fascinated with the “God Experience,” and looked for more connecting patterns.  I was always amazed with God’s perfection in all things and situations.  This kept me intrigued, and I continued to walk deeper with the Lord.  Over all, the best method was studying the scriptures; correlating verses written in earlier parts of the Bible to scriptures written thousands of years later, and with its relevance in today’s day and age.

 

• What is something about your hero that only you know?

I can’t say that only I know this; however, I’m sure that many don’t know that my Hero is a God that will never lie, leave, or forsake you.  His peace is beyond anything that makes human sense.  He will always come to your aid; even at the very last second, even when there doesn’t seem to be any hope left.  He will always love you more than you could love him.  He will fight your battles; even if it seems impossible for you to win, He will give you victory.  He will become The Warrior Within You.

 

• Which scene or chapter in the book is your favorite? Why?

My favorite chapter is Chapter 6.  I probably should’ve named that chapter “Freedom,” because that’s what I finally achieved.  I understood what was holding me back, and it’s the same thing that holds everybody back to some degree.

 

• Which scene was most difficult to write? Why?

The scene from Chapter 4 was the most difficult at first.  Then I realized that I was free from my past, and continued to write that chapter with every ounce of passion that could come from within my soul.  That’s the chapter that will emotionally tug at a reader’s heart.

 

• What do you hope readers will take away from this story?

I hope that the reader, whether a believer or not, will little by little begin to understand the battle we all face every day.  To help you gain, and to encourage you to, trust an invisible God.  To have faith that feels like you could move mountains.  After reading my story, you will understand there is nothing you can face in life that God can’t handle.  You will understand the way energy works within the spiritual realm and the importance of the energy you put out to “your” world.
